Jesse Anderson was an American convicted murderer. In 1992, Jesse Anderson killed his wife by stabbing her in the face and head five times. He then stabbed himself in the chest four times but he survived – his wife went into a coma but tragically died two days later.
Anderson blamed two men of colour for attacking him and his wife. He presented police with a Los Angeles Clippers basketball cap he claimed to have knocked off the head of one of the two men. However when details of his crime were made public, a uni student told police Anderson had purchased the hate from him a few days prior to the murder. Then according to employees at a military store, the red-handled fishing knife that was used to murder his wife was purchased a few weeks earlier by Anderson. On April 29, one week after he stabbed his wife, he was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 60 years.
