Who is Claire Miller and what is she accused of doing?

14-year-old Claire Miller is accused of killing her older sister in their family home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on Monday. Her sister, Helen, reportedly had cerebral palsy and was wheelchair-bound.

According to American news reports, Miller called 911 early on Monday morning after she allegedly stabbed her 19-year-old sister. It’s been reported that she told officers she had “killed her sister” when they arrived at the scene. According to Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, Miller has been charged and is being is being tried as an adult “because homicide is not considered a delinquent act in Pennsylvania.”

The statement reads: “Officers with the Manheim Township Police Department were dispatched shortly after 1:00 am Monday, February 22, 2021, after a female called 911 and reported that she had killed her sister. Arriving officers were met by Claire E. Miller F/14 who directed them to a bedroom where they found Helen M. Miller F/19 with a stab wound in her neck.

“Officers and EMS personnel attempted lifesaving measures, but they were unsuccessful. Information obtained so far determined that the incident happened during the overnight hours when the girls’ parents were asleep. Claire Miller was taken into custody at the scene. The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office is assisting with the investigation and approved charging Claire Miller with Criminal Homicide. Miller will be arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Miller. It is expected that Miller will be transported to Lancaster County Prison after arraignment on the charge of Homicide. Anyone charged with homicide in Pennsylvania is not eligible for bail.”

She is being held in Lancaster County Prison, and is due back in court on March 26th.

What was the video Claire Miller posted on TikTok?

As soon as police released a picture of Claire Miller, people on TikTok began to recognise her as someone they’d seen on their For You pages in a video.

Claire’s TikTok is said to be @spiritsandsuchconsulting and a video the day before the incident was posted with the caption: “My dad has to stop opening the conversation with ‘this is just like the gay bar in Japan’.” Miller doesn’t say anything in the video, and people on TikTok have reposted it, alongside other videos from her profile.

Miller’s account doesn’t exist anymore, and it says on TikTok it has been removed due to “multiple community guideline violations”. Reports say she had 22,000 followers before it was taken down.
