Deliveroo launches a ‘Eat In to Help Out’ scheme for September

Cheaper food and I don’t have to leave the house? I’m sold

Deliveroo has announced they are launching a “Eat In to Help Out” scheme that will be taking place throughout September as a way to support the restaurant industry.

On their Instagram today Deliveroo said they will be giving £5 off meals every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during September.

They said: “The Government Eat Out to Help Out scheme may be ending, but we are launching a new offer – Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo. Throughout September, you can enjoy £5 off* meals every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday – so together we can continue to support the restaurant industry.”

However there a number of conditions that apply to the offer. Customers will receive £5 off any order over £20 and at the moment the scheme is only including local independent restaurants.

Nationwide chain restaurants are welcome to take part in the scheme if they foot the bill themselves. But £5 off quality local restaurants? I’ll take it.

The Eat Out To Help Out scheme is ending next Monday, however a number of chain restaurants have said they will be continuing the offer throughout September. Bill’s, Pizza Hut, Harvester and Toby Carvery have already committed to offering customers 50 per cent off on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during September.
