Winter Love Island has officially started filming already and I can’t wait
Caroline Flack has been out in South Africa
It’s official: winter Love Island filming has begun and the first 2020 series is very close.
Caroline Flack has confirmed she’s been out in South Africa this weekend, filming the first bits of the new series. On Friday, she posted on Instagram saying: “Tomorrow we go to Cape Town to start the promo for @loveisland series 6… say whattttttttt”.
She had delays on her 13-hour trip to Cape Town, South Africa where she has been filming the promo for winter Love Island. She shared her trip on Instagram, first posting “flight delay” and then “flight got cancelled” on her story.
Then she finally got on the plane and shared a picture captioned: “Made it on board… wish me luck”.
She then added: “Here we go!! #betterlatethannever. Love Island series 6 begins.”
Caroline told The Metro last week: “I’m going on Saturday to do promo. I haven’t packed anything yet. I always pack last minute.
“It’s a 13 hour flight. I’ve got to go back and forth the whole time to do Aftersun over here.”
Caroline later shared a picture of her in South Africa. It was captioned: “Day 1 shoot”.
The sixth series of Love Island is set to start on January 8th 2020. The staff are reportedly flying out on New Year’s Day, and cast members flying out shortly before the 8th.
Despite being a winter version of the show, January temperatures in South Africa average at 29 degrees.
Plus, winter Love Island will be filmed in a brand new villa, purpose built for the show. The new setting will be similar to the lodge used for Survival of the Fittest, and is described as “luxurious lodgings”. It is thought it is being built from scratch for the new show.
I CAN’T WAIT.
