Influencer in full feud as she’s bizarrely called out for ‘out of touch’ post about Bondi attack

She snapped back and called one person an ‘insufferable termite’

An influencer is being called out over a post she made about the recent Bondi Beach terror attack. She has posted a seemingly innocent and helpful post in the aftermath of the tragedy this weekend, but for some reason, people in the comments didn’t take well to it.

15 people were shot dead and dozens more injured, when two gunmen opened fire on an event marking the start of Hanukkah at Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday.

Bella Messina posted on Instagram to encourage her 28k followers to consider donating blood – especially at times like this when local hospitals are busy. The 29-year-old rightfully said: “When a mass incident happens like this in Australia, which thankfully is rarely, I always want to help.

“I know that usually there are GoFundMes that pop up for victims… but it is Christmas time and I know not all of us have extra funds to donate. Instead I have come down to my local blood donor centre to give some blood in hopes that it can help anyone.

“The best thing about this is it’s free – it only takes my time and energy and if they don’t need my blood for this specific incident, it will go on to help someone in this festive season regardless.”

She went on to explain that it was her first time donating blood, because when she had previously thought about donating she wasn’t able to because she’d recently had children. Bella added: “‘Feeling very heartbroken over what happened in Bondi…and very helpless on what I could do – so I came down to donate blood today.”

Despite this being a very selfless and kind thing to do, a lot of comments didn’t agree. They called the “come with me to donate” video a clear attempt at “getting clout” and branded it “out of touch”. One said: “You don’t need to post about helping out. Doing it privately also works.” Bella quite simply replied that the commenter was a “loser”.

Bella went in further on the rogue hate she was getting. She said: “How dare I, someone with a platform that directly reaches hundreds of thousands of Australians, show and encourage donating blood after a massacre, especially when Australia is being asked to donate blood right now.

“Why would I take 30 minutes to edit together a short video of me giving blood to post on a page that constantly gets more views than most news organisations. Anyway, don’t be a loser like this c*nt and go and give blood today.”

But it didn’t end there. The original hater then replied: “Not a c*nt, just don’t need the validation of others to know I’ve done the right thing,’ they wrote. Bella hit back and called them an “insufferable termite.”

She said: “I know it can be hard to comprehend for someone like you. Luckily not all of us are insufferable termites who couldn’t get someone to listen to us even if we paid them. Seeing as you are SO passionate, feel free to share your own personal blood donor profile, with the number of blood donations you have done in private, humble King. I’d love to see it.”

Honestly, tell them louder.
