This woman met the girl who faked a whole pregnancy on holiday and was tricked by her too

A woman who met the Scottish girl who faked a pregnancy on holiday has now spoken out, and it turns out she was tricked by her too.

For anyone not clued up with the wild viral drama, a random girl called Kira Cousins from Airdrie in Scotland pretended she was pregnant for months, wearing a fake bump and even holding a fake gender reveal.

The plot continued after the baby was fake “born” too, as Kira introduced the world to what was actually a very realistic reborn doll, but nobody knew it at the time. She was outed by her mum who found the doll in her bedroom, and Kira’s cousin Neave has shared the whole crazy story in a viral series of TikTok videos.

Until now, it’s been contained within the family, but a random Scottish woman who isn’t linked in any way has claimed she was also duped by the 23-year-old. In a video that’s now had over 600k views, the woman called Jade met Kira while she was on holiday in Turkey in April 2025. She even uploaded a picture of herself, her friend and Kira in a swimming pool to prove it’s true.

“I was on holiday in Turkey in April and I met Kira at the hotel I was staying at. She was on her own, said it was a solo trip and me and my friend were there. We were just kind of hanging about with her. She seemed like a good laugh. Nice lassie. Nothing that was off-putting that rang alarm bells straight away,” she said.

Jade said Kira started opening up a bit more, saying she’d had a really hard time and wanted a “fresh start”. However, she suddenly had to rush home because of a “family emergency”. She also told her that she thought she might be pregnant, which she totally believed. I mean, why wouldn’t you?

The woman uploaded screenshots which show a text conversation where Kira is telling Jade she has to go home, but it was lovely meeting her. She also asked to meet up when they got home, and they carried on messaging each other. However, there were still no “alarm bells” going off.

On 10th October, Kira posted the picture on Facebook announcing the birth of her fake baby Bonnie-Leigh, which made Jade suspicious because she wasn’t supposed to be due until five weeks later. If the baby was that early, she wouldn’t have taken her home from hospital that same day.

When Kira posted another picture of the baby, Jade knew straight away that it was a reborn doll and Kira had been lying to her about being pregnant for all these months. However, everyone was commenting on the Facebook post like normal.

“So I messaged her [Kira] to see what she would say,” Jade said. She asked Kira to send some more photos of the baby and she agreed to later, but they never came. She then found that Kira’s entire Facebook, Instagram and TikTok profiles had suddenly been deactivated.

Jade found out that the whole pregnancy had been faked through a Facebook post explaining the drama, around the same time it then went viral. Now, she says she no longer wants to have any association with the 23-year-old. Kira has since posted a public statement admitted that she did fake the pregnancy and apologising.
