The 25 downright worst UK unis for getting grad jobs in 2026, according to The Times
Are you sure going to art school was a good idea?
Plenty of students in the UK go to uni because they hope a degree will help them get a good grad job (and because you can spend three years downing Jägerbombs in clubs, of course). However, plenty of UK unis aren’t all that great for getting you a job. The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 includes plenty of info about which the worst unis for grad jobs are.
The absolute worst UK uni for getting you a grad job in 2026 is apparently the University for the Creative Arts. The uni is made up of several art schools across the south of England. The University for the Creative Arts did not have a great year in the university league tables. The uni dropped down 26 places in the Complete University Guide, and plummeted 40 spots in The Times’s ranking.
Plenty of other unis that specialise in arts scored pretty badly for grad jobs. Well, I suppose becoming an artist of some kind is a more complex process than just singing up for a grad scheme.
None of the famous Russell Group unis made it into the bottom 25 worst UK unis for grad jobs. Although, students there might not be as employable as you’d think.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 ranked all these unis for their grad job prospects using the proportion of leavers who found further education courses or “high-skilled” employment within 15 months.
