Every logical Amy Bradley theory ranked by how much evidence there actually is
This is the proof
Following Amy Bradley Is Missing on Netflix, everyone is still captivated by the 23-year-old’s disappearance, and there are all kinds of theories about what happened to her.
Amy disappeared from the Caribbean cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas almost three decades ago, in March 1998, and what happened to her remains a mystery.
Some people say she fell overboard, while others think she was sex trafficked, but which Amy Bradley theory actually has the most evidence to support it?
Here are the four most logical theories, ranked from the least evidence to the most.

4. Amy Bradley fell or jumped overboard
Even though many believe it’s the most logical theory, there’s actually no evidence to say that Amy went overboard at all. No physical evidence was ever recovered from the sea, and there was nothing left on the balcony to suggest she fell or jumped overboard either. Plus, as Amy’s brother recently reminded everyone, the ship had already docked in the port of Curaçao when Amy went missing. He said the ship was “completely still,” and authorities assured the Bradley family that if she was in the water, “they would have found something”.
3. She voluntarily left the ship

Another theory is that Amy voluntarily walked off the ship on her own. However, there’s no evidence to support this one either. The 23-year-old didn’t do anything abnormal the day before her disappearance, and nobody knows of any motive she would have had to leave the ship alone and never want to be seen again. Some people actually believe she couldn’t have walked off the cruise because her sandals were found in the cabin, and she wouldn’t have left barefoot. If she did leave without shoes on, she clearly wasn’t planning on going far.

2. Someone else on the cruise was involved
Others think someone else on board the ship was involved in Amy’s disappearance. However, the only person who has ever been linked to her going missing is Alister ‘Yellow’ Douglas, the bass player who was working as an entertainer on the ship. After a witness saw him dancing with Amy the night before, the FBI questioned him and he took a voluntary polygraph test, but was released without charge, and there has never been any evidence to suggest he had anything to do with what happened. He gave a rare interview to True Crime This Week Investigates in 2024 and maintained his innocence.
1. Amy Bradley was sex trafficked
The theory that has the most evidence is that Amy was sex trafficked. In 2005, the Bradley family received an anonymous message from someone containing photos of a woman called “Jas” they found on a Caribbean escort website, who they believed to be Amy. At the time, the FBI concluded that the woman in the photos was Amy, but they couldn’t trace the IP address. Around the same time, there were also many reported sightings of her with strange men that would support this theory, and her family still maintains that they think she was trafficked after all these years.
