Over on Reddit and TikTok, there’s been a lot of talk about this. The cruise cabin was cleaned before the FBI searched it, but her sandals were left behind in the room. So, if she walked out, did she leave barefoot?

That’s where the theory really kicks in. Some believe if she had been planning to leave the room for even a moment, she would’ve taken a pair of shoes, especially on a public cruise ship.

“If she went outside, she’d get dressed, wear shoes, and take her key card,” one Reddit user said. “The fact that none of that was missing is a huge red flag.”

Others have pointed out that Amy brought many pairs of shoes on the trip. However, her brother Brad has since given a definitive answer about what the family knows about the shoes. Replying to a question on X, “Brad, can you confirm if another pair of Amy’s shoes were missing? Or were the Birkenstocks on the balcony her primary ones?”, he said, “She brought several pairs of shoes, but we don’t know which ones or how many she brought, so we can’t determine which are missing.”

Some reports claim as many as 10, but her family didn’t have an exact count. So it’s hard to tell if any were actually missing.
