Where is Amy Bradley’s family now, 27 years after her disappearance?

Her brother is in a band now

It’s been 27 years since Amy Bradley vanished without a trace from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in the early hours of March 24, 1998. The then–23-year-old was on vacation with her parents and younger brother when she went missing off the coast of Curaçao.

Amy Bradley was born on May 12, 1974, and would be 51 years old today. Her disappearance remains unsolved, but her family, Ron, Iva, and Brad, continue to carry her with them in everything they do.

Though their lives have moved forward, they have never stopped believing Amy is out there.  And now, her story is being revisited in the Netflix documentary, Amy Bradley Is Missing, which premiered on July 16, 2025. The series dives into the Bradleys’ tireless search for answers and their unshakable belief that Amy may still be alive.

So, here’s where Amy Bradley’s family is now.

Ron and Iva Bradley, both now in their early 70s, continue to live in Chesterfield County, Virginia. It’s the same area where they raised Amy and her brother Brad.

At the time of the disappearance, Ron (now 74) was an insurance executive at INB Insurance Agency, Inc. He had earned the family cruise through a company incentive program.

Iva, now 72, has since become an advocate for families of missing persons and has contributed to platforms like International Cruise Victims Association, detailing Amy’s plans and personality before the trip.

The couple has been outspoken about their belief that Amy did not fall or jump overboard. They featured in the new Netflix show, Amy Bradley Is Missing. They hope the show will renew global awareness and generate new leads.

Despite the passing years, the Bradleys continue to advocate for cruise ship safety and stay active in public appeals connected to Amy’s case.

Brad Bradley

Amy’s younger brother, Brad Bradley, was 21 when Amy disappeared. Now 48, he works as a physician assistant specialising in orthopedics in Chesterfield County, Virginia.

Brad has played a prominent role in the search for Amy over the years, giving interviews, sharing family memories, and pushing back against theories that suggest she was lost at sea. In a 2025 TV interview with WWBT’s 12 On Your Side, he said: “My parents and I share this gut feeling that she is still alive… We’re never going to give up.”

In addition to his medical career, Brad plays guitar in Amy’s Brother’s Band, a cover band formed with his father and other relatives. The group serves as an emotional tribute to Amy, who loved music and had just moved into her own apartment before the cruise.

“We lost a part of ‘us’ over twenty years ago,” Brad wrote in a 2018 Facebook post. “Amy’s Brother’s Band is a tribute in the truest sense, and we play with Amy always on our minds and in our hearts.”
