So much drama was cut from the pods in Love Is Blind UK S3 – here’s what we missed out on

The pods stage of Love Is Blind UK season three seemed to go on forever – but plenty more drama went down which was cut from the final edit of the Netflix show. Luckily for us, the cast are dishing on what Netflix viewers missed out on. Here’s the lowdown on the scenes we were deprived of.

The Joseph love triangle was even more complicated

In the early episodes of Love Is Blind, Joseph formed a love triangle with Chevanique and Francesca. Even though he decided to move things forward with Francesca, the drama was still a point of discussion through the season.

According to Chevanique, the love triangle was really more of a love square. Chevanique was also deliberating between Joseph and somebody else, but these scenes didn’t make the edit.

Chevanique told Will Njobvu: “I actually had another connection in the pods as well. So, it was between him and someone else … this other person was laying it on thick, was telling me that I’m their number one and that they really want me, and we were dating.”

According to Chevanique, once she heard Joseph was bonding with Francesca, she suggested he focus on Francesca, and she focus on the other guy. “But Joseph wasn’t happy with that.” Joseph persuaded Chevanique to carry on with their dates, even though she felt “this is a bit weird”. 

Chevanique’s relationship with the other guy flopped – she concluded he was not “a genuine person”, and broke up with him. That’s why Chevanique’s final conversations with Joseph in the pods were so intense, and why she told Joseph that she thought God may be trying to tell her she should be with him.

Woah, Taylor wasn’t only interested in Sophie

Now, out of the 30 participants in Love Is Blind UK season three, 28 of them got engaged. Eight proposals were cut from the show. One of these secret couples – Jonathan and Sammy – are still together in real life. Aw.

However, before Sammy locked it in with Jonathan, she was in a love triangle with Taylor and Sophie.

Sammy told The Sun: “Me and Taylor had connected very instantly on the fact that we both lost a parent.”

“Taylor had said to me that we were at the top,” she explained, “and then I think he’d maybe said similar to Sophie around the same time. S,o there was a moment in the lounge where we’re both like, ‘Oh, I didn’t even know you were dating Taylor, or like vice versa!’ So, there was a bit of filming going on with that.”

There was drama over some flowers?

Francesca told Will Njobvu we didn’t see all the drama that went down between her and Chevanique. “I got flowers from [Joseph] – that wasn’t shown. And I think she brought up the flowers, and then how they may not have been for me … she insinuated that he didn’t want to give me the flowers because of X, Y and Z reason, or he wanted to not give them at that moment, or ever.”
