The ‘most influential creators of 2025’ list is out and MrBeast is raging about his place
Even Ms Rachel beat him
Rolling Stone has released their list of the 25 most influential creators of 2025, and MrBeast isn’t happy about his ranking. They said their judging process was looking for creators who “use their chosen platforms to push conversations forward,” as well as measuring their growth.
As YouTube’s first billionaire and most subscribed channel, MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson is definitely an influential creator. He came seventh place on the list. But in a deleted X post, he revealed how his ranking truly made him feel.
“According to this list a guy with 1 million followers is more influential than me. What did I do to piss off The Rolling Stones?” he tweeted to his audience of over 30 million followers. The guy he’s referring to is Caleb Hearson, an American comedian, writer and actor.
MrBeast was behind other big names like Quenlin Blackwell, Kai Cenat and even children’s educator Ms. Rachel.
People were quick to call him out for this tweet. Fellow YouTuber Rossana Pansino gave this brutal response: “MrBeast’s mask slipping this much in less than a year has been fascinating to watch. Sorry Jimmy, Caleb has something you’ll never have: A personalty.”

Lots of people agreed with Rosanna, saying that MrBeast may have a large platform but he isn’t exactly a conversation starter, which was part of the criteria for the list.
Caleb Hearson shared a screenshot of the tweet on Instagram.
“Thank you @RollingStone, it’s an honour,” he said.
Drew Afualo, a lifestyle creator who came 13th on the list, commented: “You when you get ranked higher than a grifter off of children’s joy.”
MrBeast has already backtracked, deleting his tweet. He replied under an X post discussing his response.

“Ngl after this I watched some of his stuff and it’s actually good. I deleted the tweet I don’t want the smoke from the shooters, spare me plz,” he said.
He has been involved in loads of controversies before this. His Squid Game-inspired survival show, Beast Games, was hit with allegations of mistreatment and unsafe working conditions by contestants, which was mentioned in his entry on Rolling Stone’s list. He has denied all these claims, and Beast Games has been renewed for two more seasons by Amazon Prime.
