People spot ‘proof’ Love Island ‘skipped multiple days’, showing how staged it really is

Something isn’t adding up about the Casa Amor recoupling

The last two Love Island episodes have revolved around the brutal Casa Amor recoupling, but people are convinced the show skipped multiple days in the villa.

It’s supposed to be filmed every day apart from Saturdays, which is the Islanders’ day off, and we watch the villa antics the following day… or so we thought.

Eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Toni’s nail design was different in the morning from the recoupling, which is “proof” it must have been filmed across many days.

“Casa Amor lasted more than two days. Toni had a different nail set during the day new colour and design. They don’t film on Saturdays (self-care day like nails), so Casa must’ve started before Friday in Spain, but we they’re only showing us two days of it,” one person said.

Another added: “In yesterday’s episode while talking to Cash in the morning, Toni had different nails and in the recoupling she had different nails.”

But hang on a minute. If the recoupling was actually filmed on Friday and we didn’t see it until Wednesday, that means Love Island has actually skipped out not just one day but four whole days of filming.

Wednesday’s episode started with the Islanders in the morning before going straight into the recoupling. Thursday’s episode then picked up with the end of the recoupling and what happened after.

So, the producers are trying to make it look like all this happened on one day when in reality, it definitely didn’t.

After going on the show in 2022, Shaughna Phillips revealed that normal recouplings can actually take hours to film. The Casa Amor one is the most dramatic, so it probably takes even longer.

“Hours. Hours. You don’t normally have to re-do… if it’s something very dramatic, then obviously they can’t really redo that,” she told Metro when asked how long recouplings take.

“But when you’re doing, like, the “I would like to couple up with this person because…” you do that in three sections. So you say that, and then you have a big pause, then you say the next bit, pause.”

She also said the Islanders have to “go over it with a producer” during dinner, presumably telling them who they are going to recouple with so they can set up the most dramatic order.
