Final-week fashion: How King’s students stay comfortable through their all-nighters
Met Gala, move over!
It’s that dreaded time of year again: Exam season. Stressed, overwhelmed and praying for summer to hurry up, students everywhere are suffering.
All is not lost, though.
Whether you’re fighting for the last seat in the Maughan round room, or strutting to Blank Street for a sweet treat and a matcha (to fuel your studying, of course), you’re guaranteed to be sporting a practical yet stunning fit.
So, here’s the rundown of the best and most comfortable library outfits.
The default
This is the classic, go-to for most students who have comfort in mind – some form of joggers and jumper.
Whether you’re a baddie in a matching set, or you rummaged for the cleanest hoodie in your growing pile of washing, rest assured this outfit will get you through those long essays.
The all-nighter extreme
With King’s having several 24-hour study spaces, why waste time going home and getting your rest?
Pyjamas in the library (or anywhere outside of your home, for that matter) may feel slightly socially unacceptable, but it’s the ultimate comfy study fit. Bonus points for those bold enough to rock up in full dressing gowns and slippers.
The international student
Maybe it’s an overdone cliche (I’m sorry), but they truly never fail to impress, and exam season is no exception.
Most Read
They are definitely onto something with this dress-for-success mindset, and the ability to be dressed to the nines at 9am is one I truly respect, especially for those trapped on Waterloo campus.
Varsity vibes
While it may be exam season, some student’s minds are definitely elsewhere.
The rivalry between King’s and UCL remains strong. With Varsity fast approaching, therefore, you can expect to see lots of King’s sport merch dotted around the library. Special mention to the iconic KCLWFC merch – I would join the society purely for those joggers.
Last night’s fit
For the slightly unserious candidates out there, the clothes you were sporting last night at DC are the perfect look to take on your assignments.
While other people at the library may not appreciate the stench of Jaeger bombs, if they’ve spent enough time at Ministry this term, I’m sure their sense of smell is long gone anyway.
