Inside the wholesome fishing trip Adolescence’s Stephen Graham and Ashley Walters went on

Netflix took them on a bonding trip after the harrowing series

Adolescence on Netflix will go down as the greatest limited series of 2025 – mark my words. Enough time has passed for me to call it. Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne linked up to write a four part series about an ordinary family whose lives are upended when their 13 year old son Jamie is arrested for the murder of a female classmate. What follows is a tale of the rise of intel culture and its repercussions on young people, as Boiling Point’s Philip Barantini directs four relentlessly intense one shot take episodes dealing with the instant and the aftermath of Jamie’s crime. It’s a great but bleak watch, but thankfully Netflix took Stephen Graham and Adolescence co-star Ashley Walters on a wholesome fishing trip to bond in a wholesome way after all the intense tears had stopped flowing.

Here’s what happened on the Netflix Adolescence fishing trip – the most sought after information about what happened on a fishing trip since Bryn and Jason in Gavin and Stacey.

‘F*cking fish!’

Like all good fishing trips, it starts with Stephen Graham bellowing the above to his Adolescence co star Ashley Walters. That’s how I react too when I watch literally anything with fish in. Or go to the aquarium.

The pair of them are just hanging out and bonding by a lake, where they laughed and chatted and used it as a reason to bond whilst having a go at catching things.

“Was this anything you did with your dad as a kid?” Stephen Graham asks Ashley Walters, who replies “Did I fuck. He weren’t around. But it’s definitely something I would do with my little man. I think it’s such a good bonding experience. It’s just an opportunity to talk. As men. We don’t do it enough.”

Graham then says “That’s why I feel what we’re a part of with Adolescence is important.” Walters agrees and says “I do feel sorry for kids today. Because it was more simple for us.”

I just love this pair.
