MAFS bride claims she complained to producers as groom would ‘tell me off for hours on end’
‘I would tell him anything to keep myself safe’
A MAFS Australia bride has claimed her groom was “much worse” off-camera to what we saw on the show, and has said things got so bad between them she was forced to complain to producers.
Jacqui has been pretty vocal about her relationship with groom Ryan since the show started, and it doesn’t take a genius to work out where they stand now. She’s been posting TikToks about his “threatening” behaviour, and started a police investigation after she accused him of sharing “sensitive, private and sexual” content of her online. Ryan has not commented on any of the allegations.
In a further TikTok, Jacqui has now claimed his behaviour was worse than anything that was aired on the show. She said she flagged his behaviour to MAFS producers.

“Ryan was a lot worse off-camera,” she said in a video. “He would tell me off for hours on end. One night I couldn’t even get to bed because he was telling me off and he wouldn’t let me sleep. I had to complain to the producers and say he won’t leave me alone.”
Jacqui said she “had to find ways to convince him [Ryan] that it was not a problem”. She said to get him to stop she would say things like “you’re a really great man” or compliment how sexy he is. “I’d just tell him anything I would need to, to shut him up,” she claimed. “To keep my own peace and sanity. To keep myself safe.”
Jacqui alleged Ryan was also “quite physically threatening and intimidating at times”. She claimed there were “a few incidences” that she doesn’t want to speak further about, but called them “quite serious”.

Jacqui concluded: “He was definitely a lot worse off-camera. He cared a lot about being seen as the perfect man on-camera.”
