Katherine Ryan to Jimmy Carr: The celebs who’ve commented on Bonnie Blue’s meteoric rise

All these celeb comments and still no Lily Phillips clapback

Bonnie Blue went from Poundstretcher employee to one of the most controversial women in the country in a matter of months, and now her antics have started to catch the eyes of celebrities ranging from legends of Australian radio to Katherine Ryan.

Though Bonnie has been making a name for herself for some time, usually through shocking statements about cheating and “barely legal” boys, her recent 1,000 men in a day stunt sent her fame to new heights. Though we already know that internet celebrity Beavo loves her, here’s what actual celebs have said.

1. Katherine Ryan

Starting with the most recent celebrity, comedian Katherine Ryan issued a statement this week after learning about Bonnie Blue’s 1,000 men in a day challenge. Unlike other critics, Katherine’s statement focused on the “loser” men involved in the event.

In a recent Instagram reel, she questioned: “What is wrong with men? This brings me to Bonnie Blue. I think as much as people see Bonnie Blue and what she has set out to do as dehumanising or disgusting or they want to slut shame her, I was transfixed on this queue of men just looking like f***ing idiots in their socks and boxers.

“With their dumb hairy legs just sticking out in this corridor just like waiting like ‘here I am going to do 45 seconds in her, it’s gonna be the best’ and like waiting for hours to do that? They’re just like… I’ve never seen someone so desperate for 45 seconds of a thing. Ick.”

Though Katherine had noticed the criticisms of Bonnie online, she was more concerned with the “absolute f***ing losers” who probably have “a wife at home who absolutely loves them.”

“For sure, they might not have given them a b***job for a few years and that’s sad in your marriage but like, what are her reasons? I don’t know. Maybe she’s dating the kind of man who will take your adult son with him to go f*** a 25-year-old stranger,” she added.

2. Ashley James

When Bonnie Blue appeared on This Morning and sparked nearly 200 Ofcom complaints, former Made in Chelsea star Ashley James was right alongside her. Following the infamous interview, she wrote a piece for Grazia that detailed her honest feelings about Bonnie.

“The issue I have with her —and, based on the comments and feedback I received after our This Morning interview, the issue many people have with her— is that she has become a sort of poster girl for incel culture by reinforcing a patriarchal standard and expectation that guys need loads of sex, and if women don’t please them, it is within a man’s rights to look elsewhere,” she penned.

Ultimately, she believed that just because something is legal “doesn’t mean that it’s right” and we should all be working toward a better world which includes doing away with the “toxic, masculine culture” that Bonnie’s content is rife with.

Beneath Ashley’s post about Bonnie, Carol Vorderman wrote: “You handled this so well Ashley. But it shouldn’t even be a mainstream conversation. She will have welcomed her platform on ITV. It will have furthered her reach and her income. I truly worry for generations younger than mine. The conversations leading to Project 2029 (next election) is being formed by the extremes.”

3. Jimmy Carr

At a recent stand-up comedy show, Jimmy Carr was asked his opinion on Bonnie Blue, to which he replied: “What do I think of Bonnie Blue? I have no idea what you’re [talking about]?”

After a brief interjection from the audience, he continued: “We’re very judgy about such things, but we’ve all seen hot dog-eating contests. It’s no different. I’m pretty sex-positive. I wouldn’t judge her for that. I presume she made a tonne of money doing it, right?”

“I think there’s an odd thing where we s**t shame because of numbers. Imagine someone goes on honeymoon and they get f***ed for 12 hours straight by their husband, we’re not judging that, right?”

4. Kevin Love

Kevin Love is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat who found himself in hot water last month when he posted a meme about Bonnie Blue following a disastrous game.

“When someone asks me how f*cked our 2nd half was last night…,” he wrote in the caption alongside a picture of Bonnie.

Lots of his fellow basketball pros reacted to the moment, with Josh Richards posting “Oh my goodness gracious” and Larry Nance writing “I’m off you” alongside laughing emojis.

5. Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O

When Bonnie Blue appeared on their radio show, Australian celebrities Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O – but specifically Jackie – did not take kindly to Bonnie’s comments about cheating.

“You can come home, deal with your wife’s whinging, look after the kids… but you’re just sneaking off elsewhere to get pleasured,” Bonnie said at the time. “If [men] are going to work and do a hard day’s shift, they need to be treated. If the women aren’t doing that… they should be listening to my advice, put some underwear on.”

Jackie’s eyes immediately widened before replying: “I don’t like what you’re saying at all, and you’re a woman. You just think women should service men and it’s all about them being happy when they come home from work? Your advice is so ridiculous. One day when you get married and fall in love, you could be giving him all the sex in the world and he still may cheat on you.”
