Um, Russell Brand offered his take on Lily Phillips’ 100 men stunt and gave her some advice
Maybe the last person she should take advice from
Just when you thought the Lily Phillips narrative couldn’t get any worse, Russell Brand has crawled out of his religious hidey hole to offer advice to the OnlyFans performer.
Lily Phillips became a household name earlier this month after she completed her task of sleeping with 100 men in one day. She has now set her sights on 1,000 men, against the warnings of the current record holder.
In December, almost three months after she initially recorded the stunt, the debate around the adult entertainment industry is still raging online as some argue she should think of her physical health. From the nasty comments on her Instagram to the genuine concerns for her well-being, Lily Phillips has been inundated with messages following her viral stunt. Now Russell Brand has thrown in his two cents.
Russell Brand says he can relate to Lily Phillips
After years of speaking openly about his addiction to physical intimacy and just about everything else, Russell Brand went on a religious journey and is a now a born-again Christian. Coincidentally – or not so depending on who you ask – his transformation coincided with the litany of sexual misconduct allegations made against him.
Looking to spread the good word last week, and seeing the humdrum caused by Lily’s viral stunt, Russell posted a video to his Instagram that has since amassed nearly 40k likes and hundreds of comments.
“Lily Phillips, I can relate,” he said. “I’ve not done exactly that or even those numbers, but I know what it’s like to commodify sex and to look to sex for some kind of fulfillment and to use the energy of sex as some kind of commodity.”

He continued: “Sometimes what I think it is is an attempt to defibrillate divinity down here on the lower levels and the lower planes. Think about how often in scripture it talks about sexual sins and Christ being the bridegroom and us [the church] being like the bride.
“I would pray that all of us that have looked for love in the wrong places are able to find what it is we’re truly looking for. Dignity, sanctity, and sacred love with one another, rather than making everything profane, everything a game, everything a like and a click and a lick.”
Jesus loves Lily Phillips.

Concluding, Russell urged everyone to “love one another” and to “forgive one another.”
“There’s a way home for all of us, and by individually changing we can change our culture to something beautiful,” he added.
People celebrated his message despite the looming accusations
Despite the controversy that seems to hang over Russell Brand, his Christian followers celebrated his message while suggesting they should “flood” Lily with God’s love.
One person wrote: “I’m glad you’ve found your way, Russell. And you’re helping others find THEIR way.”
“Let’s all storm Lily’s posts with God’s love! Go tell her she’s a daughter of the King and He just wants to love her and restore that beautiful soul to His image,” another said, while a third added, “Jesus surrounded himself with sinners and reached out to them. To save them to show them God’s grace and love was there for them. I think that is what Russel is trying to do here. He wants to save her soul and show that no sin is beyond redemption with god.”
Someone else said: “The time taken to make this video and speak to her…. that Christ in him.”
Russell Brand has denied the allegations, telling Fox News host Tucker Carlson: “I’m aware that I put myself in an extremely vulnerable position by being very, very promiscuous, [but] that is not the type of conduct I endorse, and it’s certainly not how I would live now.”
“Of course, I deny any allegations of the kind that have been advanced – and what I have seen is the significance of family and the importance of beliefs that are transcendent of this.”
