Whatever you think about Lily Phillips, comments on her recent Instagram posts are outrageous

She has anonymous accounts telling her she needs therapy

Look, I am going to start this by saying I’m very much aware that Lily Phillips sleeping with 100 men in a day was a “stunt” and was definitely done for money and clout. But no matter what you think about her, the comments Lily Phillips has been getting under her most recent Instagram posts are utterly outrageous.

In the last week or so, everyone has been talking about OnlyFans creator, Lily Phillips. That’s because a video has been posted with YouTube creator Josh Pieters, in which she challenged herself to sleep with 100 men in a day. She completed the challenge, and Josh was there to document it all.

Despite the fact by the end of the video Lily appeared visibly upset by what just happened, she has since said her next challenge for 2025 is to sleep with 1,000 men in a day. That would beat the current world record.

Of course, the challenge was set up to be controversial. Her name hasn’t left our conversations since, she’s earned loads of money, and has gained hundreds of thousands of followers across her different social media channels.

It’s a pretty normal thing now, as bleak as it is, that anyone in the public eye gets negative comments on Instagram. But the types of comments underneath photos of Lily Phillips on Instagram right now are beyond this. I think I’m pretty desensitised to this sort of thing, but it’s shocking.

‘What a terrifying nightmare your life is’

Since the stunt, Lily has been posting as normal. “You seriously need to see a therapist,” one person said under a selfie. “No real man will ever put a ring on your finger knowing what you’ve done.” Another person on the same photo added: “Jesus loves you, Lily. He can change your life.”

Others said things such as “Girl, please seek help”, “We women don’t claim her” and “This is what emptiness looks like.” Strangers are leaving paragraphs and paragraphs under her posts, asking “What is this world coming to?”.

“I feel sorry for you,” one person said, with another who added: “You are the definition of a woman who is oppressed and enslaved. What a terrifying nightmare your life is.” One person has literally said that Lily’s “father doesn’t love” her.

Another, pretty long, comment began: “I’ve just seen your documentary and I actually felt like I was watching a Black Mirror episode. Incredibly disturbing and quite frankly upsetting to watch. You claim to be a feminist but what you’re doing is the opposite of feminism.” They added: “I honestly worry for your safety, health and wellbeing but not nearly as much as I worry how this is shaping the generations that grow up thinking this is ok.”

Whether you think what Lily Phillips has been doing is “wrong” or not, telling her your opinion all over Instagram isn’t going to achieve much. Plus, a personal attack really isn’t the way.
