‘Explosive’ fights and ‘kicking off’: Exactly what’s coming in the Love Island 2023 reunion

It’s this weekend!

Love Island 2023 has only just finished, but it’s already time for the big reunion special. You might think this is early, but it seems as though there’s lots of drama to catchup on with the cast.

Love Island: The Reunion will see all the current Islanders reunite for a special one-off episode, giving them a chance to reflect on their time in the South African villa, and give us an update on their relationships now. The episode follows the format of an end of series wrap-party, and already cast members have promised chaos.

Here’s everything we know about the Love Island 2023 reunion, ahead of it airing this weekend.

Who will be at the Love Island 2023 reunion?

Love Island has made a point this year that ALL Islanders from the 2023 series will be attending the reunion – nobody has yet said they won’t be there. Everyone from the OG Islanders, to the finalists and the Casa bombshells is expected to be there. Big drama!

Maya Jama will be hosting the show, and there will also be a celebrity panel there, similar to how episodes of Aftersun have been set up.

There’s definitely drama about to kick off at the Love Island 2023 reunion. Speaking to The Sun after she was dumped, Olivia said “there’s the reunion yet” for her to bring even more “fireworks”. She and Maxwell said there’s unfinished business that will get discussed on the show.

Speaking to The Mirror, dumped Islander Anna-May said things “could kick off” as there’s lots of things that need to be addressed following Islander feuds. “I’m so excited to see everyone at the reunion, maybe things could change,” she said. “I feel like a few things might be said, or some things might kick off in the reunion.”

Anna-May said fellow Islander Tanya came out the villa and said she doesn’t like Shaq and Tanya, or Olivia, and added: “The thing is with the reunion, ITV obviously sees that so they’re probably going to sit them next to each other just to get a bit of TV out of it, they’re so, so clever – if you didn’t want anything to happen, you wouldn’t say it.”

Martin added in an interview with FUBAR Radio, “someone is 100 per cent going to kick off”. He added: “Because I’ve been saying everything that happened, and someone is going to be angry at me for talking about their couple. I know that already. I just don’t know who is going to kick off at me first.”

Given all the Casa Amor Islanders are set to be in attendance, this could be awkward for the likes of Casey, who found himself in hot water after cracking on with Cynthia. He left the show with Rosie, leaving Claudia hanging, too. He’s going to have a lot of exes in the room, and people have noticed he’s refused to follow Cynthia on Instagram since the show ended. Yikes.

On top of this, it was reported yesterday that second place Ron and Lana had a “huge argument” on the flight home from South Africa, that was so big Love Island bosses had to step in. Could there be tension here, too?

When is the Love Island reunion on?

Love Island: The Reunion will be on ITV2 from 9pm until 10.35pm on Sunday 19th March. Get the popcorn ready!
