Love Island: All Stars cast in huge row with ITV, demanding ‘more cash’ from bonus episode

The cast of Love Island: All Stars have become embroiled in a huge row with ITV after those who were dumped before the final are demanding “more cash” from the channel after returning for a bonus episode.

All of the previously dumped Islanders returned to the villa the night before the final to vote for the couple they thought were least compatible, leaving Arabella and Adam to be voted out.

However, the Islanders who returned were frustrated to learn that they wouldn’t be receiving any extra money for their bonus appearances in the villa.

A source told The Sun: “The Islanders are all paid a weekly salary for however long they last in the villa. But they believe they should have got a separate payment for their big return – especially as the producers milked a whole storyline out of the drama.

“They had their flights and accommodation covered by the production company, but many of them feel they should have got an appearance fee as well. Lots of them have been moaning on the group chat that they have been short-changed, especially as they already feel the original pay deal for All Stars was too low to begin with.”

A spokesperson for All Stars said: “We don’t comment on talent contracts or fees.”

And a lot of the cast delayed signing their original contracts because they felt £2,000 per week wasn’t enough of an incentive despite originally being offered just over £300 per week.

A source said: “Most of the returning stars have already filmed promo videos for Love Island All Stars but haven’t signed their contracts. They are pushing ITV for more cash because they’re saying £2,000 a week isn’t enough.

“Many of the Islanders rely on their social media deals to make cash and by going into the villa, their revenue source will be down. They want their pay to reflect this but Love Island bosses are holding strong.

The All Stars cast are clubbing together to try and put the pressure on but as far as ITV are concerned, the pay deal on the table is good and fair. Ultimately the stars going back on the show will have a major profile lift from going back into the villa – plus they’re basically getting paid to go on holiday.”
