They’re here! Meet the FULL cast list of official Islanders for Love Island 2023
It starts in one week!
Guys! It’s been confirmed that Love Island 2023 starts next week, and today is the big day where ITV finally gives us the coveted cast list. This is like Christmas day to me.
We’ve been introduced to a whole bunch of new single Islanders, ready to have the best summer of their lives. They’ll be flying out to Majorca as we speak, and ITV has promised “more twists and shock dumpings” this year. Now the sun has come out, I am SO ready to sit on the sofa every night at 9pm and watch the drama unfold.
From footballers to TikTokers, and beauticians to real estate agents – this year’s cast really has it all. Now, let’s meet the contestants!
Ruchee is a beautician, who is ready to bring glam and big energy to the villa. She’s 24, and from Sutton. When asked why she wants to join Love Island, she said: “I’m single and looking for love, and it’s the perfect opportunity for me to find someone. I’m a relationship kind of girl, but so far it’s not worked out for me. So I’m looking forward to hopefully finding the right person in the villa.”
Up next is 24-year-old Tyrique, a semi-pro footballer. There’s always one! “I’ll bring vibes, confidence, good energy and honesty,” he said. “I don’t sit on the fence, if I have an opinion I will speak up. I’m also not afraid to go after what I want.”
Tyrique is deaf in one ear, and has a tattoo next to his left one that symbolises strength and power. Oh, and Toby Aromolaran from 2021 is one of his best mates. Of course!
21-year-old Molly is a theatre performer and content creator from Doncaster. When asked why Love Island, she said: “I think it’s ideal timing and the perfect way to find someone. I don’t go out and party and I don’t use dating apps, I’m actually quite old-fashioned, so there’s no better way to meet someone than by going into a villa in the sun with the potential ‘one’ in there.”
TikToker Molly was rumoured to be a Love Island 2023 contestant before the cast list was announced. She has over 650k followers on TikTok and 25k followers on Instagram, and is said to have caught the producers’ eyes after being invited on a tour of the villa in South Africa ahead of the winter series earlier this year.
If you want your farmer Will of this season, she’s a huge TikToker AND lives on a farm with her family. Perfect!
Up next in the cast list is George, who says he’s going to bring vibes and his dad dancing to the Love Island 2023 villa. Sure. He’s 24, from Bedford and works as a business development executive.
“I prefer a girl who is naturally good looking, and someone who has even more banter than me – although I don’t believe that’s physically possible,” he said. “I think those three qualities make for a perfect mix in a partner.”
Catherine is a real estate agent from Dublin. She’s 22, and when asked to describe herself, Catherine said: “I’m fun, I’m flirty, I’m just never boring.”
If you’ve only got one degree (as if!) prepare to feel shame, as Catherine has two! “I have two degrees, I have my undergrad and my masters in psychology and sociology and real estate,” she said.
26-year-old Mehdi was born in Bordeaux, and splits his time between there and London. He says he’s ready to find ‘the one’ after being busy with work and completing his Master’s degree.
He currently works as a communications manager and said to get a girl interested he would “simply start by speaking French”. Fair enough!
Ella is a model from Glasgow, and is aged 23. “I’m the whole package, I know what I want in life and I’ve got a big heart,” she said.
Ella has a few claims to fame, including being in a Headie One and Burna Burna Boy music video, and she was once an extra in World War Z. “I was 12 years old when I filmed it and got to meet Brad Pitt which was cool,” she said.
Gas engineer Mitchel is 26 and from Sheffield. “I thrive on being a gentleman,” he said. “I’ll shower you with flowers, I’ll take you on dates, I’ll fill your bedside drawer with your favourite sweets and chocolate. I’ve been single, I’ve had my fun and now I want to settle down.”
He said his two biggest icks are food in your teeth and when a girl counts coins in her hand. Umm, ok?
Up next is Jess, who is 22 and from London. The aesthetics practitioner described herself as having a “big personality” but her list of icks is potentially even bigger. She hates guys who “stunt for money”, show off designer clothes, run for trains, have lunch boxes and get Tesco meal deals. Seems harsh?
Rounding off the cast list for Love Island 2023 is André, who was also rumoured for the show before the Islanders were officially announced. The 21-year-old is a clothing brand entrepreneur and economics grad from Dudley.
He said: “I’m charming, I’m going to bring good looks and some language lessons. I’m going to teach the other Islanders Portuguese, Spanish and a little bit of Creole. I think I’ve got every slice of the pie.”
Love Island 2023 kicks off on Monday 5th June at 9pm. For all the latest Love Island news and gossip and for the best memes and quizzes, like The Holy Church of Love Island on Facebook.
