Rishi Sunak houses

Inside the four ridiculously lavish homes of Rishi Sunak, now he’s got keys to a fifth

Is there any need for the Yorkshire one to have a day spa?

Rishi Sunak is our next prime minister, our third this year. He’s making history as not only one of the youngest prime ministers in British history, but by far one of the richest. Nowhere is this summed up more than by the fact that we’ve almost had as many Tory prime ministers than Rishi Sunak has houses. The new prime minister has FOUR houses and he’s about to move into his fifth when he gets into number 10. Here’s all you need to know about the four homes and houses of Rishi Sunak.

The 6.6mil London home

Rishi Sunak’s first and main property is his six bed mews mansion in Kensington, West London. He previously also had a flat above 10 Downing St, which he paid for a massive renovation for.

The Kensington mews home is the main residency of Rishi and the Sunak family of all his houses, and has six bedrooms, four bathrooms and two reception rooms. It’s spread across four storeys and has a private garden, because of course it does.

The extra London flat

Just in case that six bed massive house was a bit too cramped, Rishi Sunak also owns a first floor flat on Old Brompton Road in Kensington, which he allegedly uses as a “holiday home” for visiting guests. Mine just normally sleep on my sofa, personally.

The ridiculously boujie Yorkshire weekend home

Rishi Sunak is now the leader of the Conservative Party and prime minister, but he’s still the MP for Richmond in Yorkshire – so naturally he NEEDS one of his houses to be there. The Sunaks stay up at this home on weekends.

The house is said to be a remote site in a village called Kirby Sigston and is across 12 acres, estimated to be worth over a million. Not content with the Yorkshire gaff’s private pond, Rishi Sunak has applied to host a new leisure facility with a gym, showers and a 12 metre pool. It hasn’t been finished yet. I wonder if we’ll get an invite to go round for a liccle swim!

The Californian home in Santa Monica

Rishi was a Fulbright Scholar at Stanford University, where he met his wife Akshata. They initially based themselves over there, before moving back to the UK. The Californian and Yorkshire houses are under Akshata’s name, whilst Rishi Sunak has full ownership of the two London residencies.
