Brittany Snow and Selling The OC’s Tyler Stanaland announce they are splitting up

Brittany’s Pitch Perfect cast members left loving messages on her Instagram

Brittany Snow and Selling the OC cast member Tyler Stanaland have announced their split after two years of marriage.

The pair shared a joint statement on Instagram last night in which they said they have split because they need to focus on their own lives.

Brittany posted on her Instagram: “After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realised we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives.

“We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.”

Brittany and Tyler married in a ceremony in Malibu shortly before the pandemic, after they began dating in 2018 when Tyler slid into Brittany’s DMs. The pair were engaged a year later and share a dog called Charlie.

Following the announcement of their breakup, Brittany’s Pitch Perfect cast mates Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson commented on her Instagram post to wish her love.

Anna said: “Love you so much,” and Rebel commented: “Love you Brit ❤️”

Tyler recently appeared on the new Netflix show Selling The OC where he was part of The Oppenheim Group selling luxury real estate.

During his time on the show another woman in the office Kayla Cardona tried to kiss him on a work night out off camera. Throughout the season cast members Alexandra Jarvis and Alexandra Rose accused Tyler of being flirtatious with the other women in the office, which he denied to them during the final episode of the show.

When the show first aired a source told People Magazine Tyler being on the show caused problems in his marriage with Brittany, as she didn’t want him to join the show but he wanted to make a name for himself independently of their marriage.

They claimed: “Brittany never wanted Tyler on the show but he was adamant he wanted to make a name for himself on his own terms.”

The source also claimed the couple already had problems before he went on Selling The OC but “this is the final straw.”
