Everything the cast of Normal People has gotten up to since the show

Paul Mescal is dating Phoebe Bridgers now!!

Normal People had everyone in a chokehold during the first lockdown in 2020, most specifically Connell and his chain had us all in a chokehold. Adapted from Sally Rooney’s novel, we were all introduced to the world of Connell and Marianne and their whirlwind romance that left us with shattered hearts and tears in our eyes. But most importantly, we met the cast who portrayed every character of the novel so perfectly and with precision that left us all a mess as their love story did not go as we all had hoped, as it came crashing down around us.

But since the show, the cast have been getting up to some pretty big projects, with Daisy Edgar-Jones making a name for herself in Hollywood, and Paul Mescal living everyone’s dream. Here is everything the cast of Normal People has got up to since the show:

Paul Mescal has truly been living his best life since Normal People aired, and I’m not just talking about him dating Phoebe Bridgers. Since his breakout role, Mescal has starred in The Deceived, a crime series by the creator of Derry Girls. He has recently starred in the Netflix drama The Lost Daughter alongside Olivia Coleman, Dakota Johnson and Jessie Buckley.

Daisy Edgar-Jones

Daisy has stayed firmly on our TV and cinema screens and I’m not mad about it. Since the show she has dipped her toes across the pond and starred alongside Sebastian Stan in Hulu’s Fresh and played the lead role in the adaptation of Where the Crawdads Sing. She has also recently starred in the true crime drama, Under the Banner of Heaven, alongside Andrew Garfield.

Sarah Greene

One of the best characters in Normal People is Connell’s mum Lorraine. She was played by Sarah Greene, and since the show Greene has appeared in the BBC thriller Roadkill and comedy Frank of Ireland.

Fionn O’Shea

Marianne’s awful boyfriend Jamie was played by Fionn O’Shea, and he has been making waves in the acting world since the show. After Normal People, Fionn starred in a coming of age film Dating Amber, for which he was chosen as one of the European Shooting Stars. Like his co-stars, he has featured alongside some very big names. He acted alongside Tom Holland in crime drama Cherry and has most recently featured in an arthouse drama Wolf, which is being led by Lily-Rose Depp.

Eliot Salt

Eliot’s character Joanna didn’t feature a lot throughout the show, but she was the friend of all friends. Since Normal People, Salt has starred in the Netflix drama Fate: The Winx Saga, which has been confirmed for a second season.

Aoife Hinds

Pictured is Aoife Hinds, she was in the Normal People cast and is now in Derry Girls

Aoife Hinds played Connell’s girlfriend Helen. She had a small role in an episode of Derry Girls as a transfer student from Donegal. She has since landed the role of Princess Mary in the Channel 5 series Anne Boleyn.

Frank Blake

Frank Blake played Marianne’s older brother Alan. He has recently featured in Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla and has also starred alongside Fionn O’Shea in Cherry with Tom Holland.

Sebastian De Souza

Marianne’s first boyfriend at Trinity is Gareth who is played by Sebastian De Souza. Prior to Normal People, De Souza had already made a name for himself for his roles in Kids in Love and Skins. Since the show he played the role of Leo in Hulu’s The Great.
