Ok, how do you do that AI celebrity elevator trend everyone’s obsessed with on TikTok?!
It looks SO realistic
If your For You Page has recently been flooded with glossy photos of people casually hanging out with A-listers in sleek, futuristic lifts, you’ve just discovered TikTok’s latest viral obsession: the Elevator AI trend. It looks like everyone suddenly has access to a sci-fi penthouse elevator, but it’s all just the work of AI.

The idea is simple. People are using AI image generators to create hyper-realistic photos of themselves having photoshoots with their favorite celebrities. The finished images usually show two people standing close in a steel elevator, bathed in bright flash lighting with cinematic reflections.
Many people are using the trend to show off their music taste. It often begins with the statement “I bet she listens to Taylor Swift”, or an artist they don’t like, followed by a string of AI-generated pictures of them with their favorite artists who are usually dramatically different.

For this particular trend, most people are using the AI app Meitu, a photo-editing app. Here’s how to try it yourself.
-
Download Meitu and open the app.
-
On the home screen, tap “AI Group Photo”.
-
Scroll through the templates until you find “Lift Group” (the one featuring two people in an elevator).
-
Upload two clear images: One of yourself and one of your chosen celebrity. Hit “Generate Now” and let the AI work its magic.
-
Save the result or post it straight to TikTok: Your red-carpet elevator moment awaits.

Meitu gives you five free shots before asking for a subscription, but if downloading apps isn’t your thing, Gemini AI can produce similar results straight from your browser. Here’s what to use as a prompt.
- Two people in the images, in a romantic pose inside a brushed stainless-steel elevator, standing close with intimate body language, gazing affectionately toward the camera; shot from a 45° angled perspective looking upward, creating a dynamic and cinematic sense of depth.
- Composition highlights reflections on metallic walls, strong diagonal lines, and glossy surfaces; illuminated with hard on-camera flash for crisp shadows, high-contrast textures, and bright highlights, giving a raw, fashion-inspired look.
- Captured on a full-frame mirrorless camera; post-processing: enhance metallic shine, slight vignette, contrast +12, clarity +15, sharpening 70, remove logos/text; do not change facial features.
If you’re not happy with the result, you can adapt your prompt until the picture looks the way you want it to. Then, you’re ready to share and join in with the trend.
