Starbucks has spoken out after the absolute chaos over the ‘Charlie Kirk drink’ order
It’s getting wild
Starbucks has officially been dragged into the weirdest political drama of the week, and it’s all because of a very ordinary tea order. Charlie Kirk, the conservative commentator who was fatally shot this month, has suddenly become the unlikely face of a viral Starbucks moment.
Supporters have decided the best way to honor him is by copying his exact go-to drink order. And honestly, it’s not even that exciting. Kirk revealed on TikTok that he lives on a mint majesty tea with two honeys.
@alsopurejoyny the drink is called The Charlie Kirk. thank you @Starbucks #fyp #conservative #usa #freedom #fypシ @Turning Point USA @The Charlie Kirk Show
In his own words: “I literally drink this for one reason because I lose my voice very easily. It is literally just mint majesty tea with two honeys. I drink like, nine of them a day, otherwise I’d lose my voice.”
That’s it. Just mint tea and honey. But now people are walking into Starbucks everywhere asking for “Charlie’s drink,” and they’re not stopping there. They’re demanding the name “Charlie Kirk” is written on the cup and called out in full when it’s ready.
This is where things have gone off the rails. Videos show people storming up to counters when baristas only call out “Charlie,” yelling that it has to be the full name. Some confrontations have turned ugly, with workers filmed, harassed, and even doxxed online. One man was recorded threatening, “I want immediate accountability. If not, I will have this whole intersection lined with patriots today.”

@valerielewis292 Today my husband walked into this Starbucks to order Charlie Kirk’s drink, when they asked for his name he said “Charlie Kirk” she said, “pick another name” he asked why? she said “we don’t do politics here” my husband didn’t mention anything political, it was Charlie Kirk’s name. She refused to write the name or say it. The barista walked over to my husband and handed him the drinks instead of using the name “Charlie” She is the one who brought up “politics” if she would have said “okay’ then written the name, no politics would have been mentioned. I went in a few hours later…. here’s the video 📷 #iamcharliekirk #prayforus🙏 #turningpointusa🇺🇸 @The Charlie Kirk Show @Turning Point USA ♬ original sound – Val_is_here!🌸
Starbucks has since had to step in with a formal statement. The company confirmed that alternative names, including “Charlie Kirk”, are allowed, but political slogans and offensive phrases are not. They said staff are trained to de-escalate when names cross the line, and pointed out that markers are available for anyone who wants to scribble their own messages on cups afterward.
The chain also debunked claims that baristas have been writing negative notes about Kirk, saying those were added later by someone else.
So what started as a tribute to a late political figure has spiraled into a bizarre showdown, complete with shouting matches and clarification from the company itself. All over a mint tea with honey.
