That shocking viral skit where comedian Druski dresses up as a white American, explained
He looks unrecognisable
Druski is known for his viral comedy skit videos, but his latest prank might be his most controversial yet. In a video uploaded across his socials last night, Druski, who is African American, is disguised as a white patriot while attending last weekend’s NASCAR event.
His costume is incredibly detailed, complete with tan lines, a messy mullet and head-to-toe white body paint that completely disguises his race. In less than 12 hours, the video has gained a million likes.
In the skit, he plays a stereotype of a white Republican patriot, singing Born In The USA and questioning the innocent black men who walk past him. Druski seems to have most of the people in this video fooled, as they treat him like a regular patriot.
One clip showing Druski listening to the national anthem features professional race car driver Ty Gibbs, who looks like he’s struggling to hold back his laughter.
“This is the most impressive whiteface I’ve ever seen. The makeup must have taken hours lmao,” said one X post with almost 200k likes.
“This can’t be Druski,” said another.
Reactions to the viral sketch are very positive and people are mind-blown at the level of commitment Druski and his team took to create his new character.
