People are ‘howling’ at this awful editing trick Love Island is using in every episode

Love Island 2025 is nearing the end and everyone can’t stop laughing at one hilarious trick the editors keep using.

At the start of every episode, when Love Island shows what’s coming up, they edit one of the Islanders’ faces into the moon – and it’s just so funny!

The clip starts with a close-up view of a boy or girl in the villa. Then, the camera zooms out and the face fades into a picture of the sky.

One person shared a video of Tommy’s face being blended into the moon on TikTok and wrote: “Love Island pls stop editing them into the moon. I’m HOWLING.”

Lauren’s face also faded into the moon when she was crying because Toni recouped with Harrison. They even added a flame effect too for added drama.

“Love Island putting Lauren’s face in the moon two nights in a row is making me laugh too loud,” someone else said.

This isn’t the first time it’s happened either. Love Island has actually been editing faces into the moon for years now, and it’s becoming a bit of a running joke.

The funniest one was Whitney on season 10, whose surprised expression looked absolutely hilarious in the edit.

People are finding the moon trick absolutely hysterical this season, with one person writing: “It’s their favourite edit it’s so funny.”

“Was just saying this. I die every time this comes on,” said another.
