‘Well, I’m 6′8’: Actor reveals if his hung zombie in 28 Years Later was in proportion
Twitter will be very happy with his response
28 Years Later might be a solid continuation of arguably the best zombie film of all time, but amidst stellar performances from Ralph Fiennes, Jodie Comer, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, all anyone can talk about is the massively hung zombies.
One zombie in particular, designated the alpha zombie and nicknamed Samson by Ralph Fiennes’ character, has caused quite a stir on Twitter for his… let’s say impressive appendage. But as it turns out, the hung zombies created a massive issue (pun intended) for director Danny Boyle.
“Interestingly, because there was a 12-year-old boy on set, you’re not allowed for anybody to be naked, not really naked,” he earlier told PEOPLE. “So it’s like, ‘Oh my God,’ so we had to make everybody prosthetic genitals.”
Now the actor behind the alpha has come forward, dishing on everything from his very-naked character to his other work in projects such as Gladiator 2.

Chi Lewis-Parry has worked on Gladiator 2, My Lady Jane, Pennyworth, and Kraven the Hunter, but now, after starring in 28 Years Later, he will forever be known as the man who stepped into the role of the most hung zombie in the undead army.
Talking about the need for prosthetics amidst the US’ child protection laws, Chi Lewis-Parry told Variety: “Yeah, they were prosthetics. There’s a law that states, I think, because he’s a child, you’re allowed to have nudity, but it has to be fake nudity. It was to protect him. And, as well, I’m really friendly and am always hugging people. I wouldn’t have been doing that if I were fully in the nip!”
At this point, the thirsty journalist asked a question many people might avoid: “There’s been quite a bit of talk about your own prosthetic. Not even sure if I should be asking this, but… was it in proportion?”
“Well, I’m 6′ 8″. I’ll say no more!” he replied.

Is Chi Lewis-Parry’s alpha zombie about to join the likes of Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal as the newest member of the internet’s boyfriend club?
Elsewhere in the interview, Chi detailed an on-set injury that actually led to him crying.
“It was filmed in an actual reservoir in a tunnel and it was incredibly dark,” he said, recalling a scene where Samson ripped a guy’s head off. “And I managed to incur a little flesh wound. It was nothing for Samson, but made me cry! It was my own fault. I was running very fast and got to a point a little too early and got caught by one of the rifles on my leg.”
Chi was left with a lasting scar on his leg, something he now refers to as a piece of “memorabilia” he’s very proud of.
