Roommate charged with murder after London nursing student stabbed to death in Texas
Elizabeth Tamilore Odunsi was just days away from graduating when she died
A man has been charged with the murder of a London nursing student in Texas.
Elizabeth Tamilore Odunsi, known as Tamilore, was killed in a “brutal” attack on 26th April. She was stabbed multiple times only days before she was due to graduate.
The 23-year-old was a student at Texas Women’s University, and an avid TikToker with over 44,000 followers.
The man charged, Chester Lamar Grant, identified himself to police as Tamilore’s roommate.
Tamilore was found by police in her Houston home shortly before 4pm on the 26th after officers attended her home for a welfare check.
After knocking on her door, and receiving no response, officers noticed blood on a rear concrete patio. This is when they entered Tamilore’s apartment and found her on the kitchen floor with numerous stab wounds.
According to Sky News, Tamilore was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chester Lamar Grant was found at their supposed shared home with a single stab wound, and he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
He was arrested by the Houston Police Department on 2nd May, and has since been charged with Tamilore’s murder.
His bail has been set at $500,000, but it has been reported that he remains in custody at Harris County Jail in Texas.
In a preliminary magistrates hearing, it was alleged that a fight broke out between Tamilore and Grant over his cat, ABC News reports.
A GoFundMe page has since been set up to repatriate Tamilore’s body to the UK. At the time of writing, it had received over £63,000 in donations.
