MAFS’ Jacqui and Clint respond to pregnancy rumours with the wacky baby names they’ve chosen
If they don’t name their baby Sticky Rice, we riot
MAFS Australia’s strangest couple, Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice, have responded to speculation about pregnancy by revealing the rather odd baby names they have chosen.
Despite being married to Ryan Donelly and Lauren Hall on the show, respectively, Jacqui and Clint got together after filming wrapped and have been doing their best to be the next Brangelina ever since. At the So Dramatic viewing party for the finale, Clint got down on one knee and popped the question in a moment people have since branded a “fake” PR stunt.
Ever since, people on TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram have been speculating about a potential bun in the oven. Though Jacqui confirmed that she’s not expecting her first child, she did reveal that she and Clint had ALREADY picked out names – take a look.
There’s no MAFS baby, but these are the names Jacqui and Clint have chosen
During a recent Ask Me Anything Q&A on Instagram, Jacqui sat down with her soon-to-be husband, Clint, to answer burning questions from MAFS viewers. Obviously, the proposed baby was top of the list.
“I really want to have a baby called Livily if she’s a girl,” Jacqui told her followers.
Though Google thought I was searching for the name Lively, after a bit of digging, it seems the name can be “derived from Livi, a name whose meaning is Greatness, Pride, Olive Branch, Peace, Form of Olivia.”
If it’s a boy, then Clint is hoping for the name Rio, which means river.
“And I’ve got Rio. Rio Rice,” Clint added as Jacqui confirmed, “So it will be Livily Rice and Rio Rice.”

In the video, the couple then joked about potential pun names with Rice, such as Jasmine, Sushi and Brown. Personally, I’m a huge fan of Egg Fried Rice, Boil In The Bag Rice – even if it’s a bit of a mouthful – and Sticky Rice if it’s a messy child.
Putting rumours to rest once and for all, Jacqui added: “No, we are not expecting and I am not pregnant!”
Despite Rio and Livily being somewhat strange names, people seemed happy for the couple and very much behind the unique monikers.
“In saying that, I adore these names and think they are so unique,” one person said.
Another wrote: “Stop sooooo cute !!!!!! Would love you guys to have a baby.”
“You need a tribe of kids – there are so many names just waiting to be chosen – Fried, Brown, White, Arborio, Creamed, Saffron, Coconut, Boiled, Steamed, Mexican,” someone else joked.
