A former flatmate of Jacqui from MAFS Australia speaks out about what she was like to live with

This is the kind of intel I need

A former flatmate of Jacqui Burfoot from MAFS Australia 2025 has spoken out about what the bride was like to live with. This is the kind of insider gossip I’ve been craving.

Jacqui has divided opinion whilst being on the show and paired with Ryan Donnelly. One minute they look all loved up and perfect, but the next they’re discussing their romance like it’s a job interview. Shortly followed by Jacqui probably crying. It really has been a lot.

Whilst the show has been airing, a former flatmate of Jacqui’s has come forward. They made some claims about what she was like to live with, and her personality. Honestly, it really rings true to what we’re seeing on screen. They claim they knew Jacqui for a number of years, so got to understand her pretty well.

“Jacqui. She was my flatmate for a couple of years. She’s exactly as she appears on screen,” they told Chattr. Going into more detail about how she’s been on MAFS, they added “It’s heavily edited, you can see it in the frankenbiting, but the content that she gives them to edit… Spot on.”

For some context, Frankenbiting is apparently a trick commonly used in TV shows. It’s when producers slice different words from sentences someone has said together, to create a completely different sentence to share on screen. The result can be completely different to what the person actually said.

The source added more about what Jacqui was like day to day. “Her moods did change like that and the stuff she said was so perplexing,” they claimed. “She never accepted fault for anything, always felt ‘sorry’ for us and offered unsolicited advice for how we could ‘be better’ at our jobs or in our relationships. If we ever stood up for ourselves she suddenly became the victim.”

Insightful!
