All of Jamie Laing’s eccentric side hustles and how much bank they make him

How has he got so many plates spinning?

Ever since he joined the cast of Made in Chelsea in 2011, Jamie Laing has been one of the nations biggest sweethearts. Only last week he ran five ultra marathons in five days, raising over £2 million for Comic Relief. Is there anything he can’t do?

When he’s not running ultra marathons, Jamie has a wide array of savvy side hustles to keep him busy. In 2023, he was even reported to have a cushy net worth of £7.5 million.

So, here’s a look at all the successful side hustles of Jamie Laing.

Candy Kittens – estimated net worth £2.2 million

A sweet treat the student finance won’t stretch to cover, Jamie and partner Ed Williams launched Candy Kittens in 2012. The pair wanted to challenge the dated sweets on the shelves in supermarkets and saw an opportunity to make better sweets made for adults.

The sweet brand turned over £12.1 million in 2023 and had net assets of £1.1 million. Jamie often posts about the brand’s incredible growth and shows photos back from the early days of the company. So he’s definitely bringing in bank with these cute little sweets. Lend us a fiver Jamie?

JamPot Productions – worth £308.4k

If running your own confectionary business isn’t enough to fill your time, why not also have your own production company? Jamie started JamPot Productions in 2022, aiming to “create audio that’s different, fun and new”.

JamPot hosts podcasts including NewlyWeds which he and wife Sophie Habboo co-host, Mad, Sad and Bad with Paloma Faith and Wednesdays, hosted by Sophie and her best friend Melissa Tattam. However his production company also produces his own podcast show, Great Company.

JamPot productions has a net worth of approximately £308.4k and is only getting bigger.

Radio One DJ – estimated around £100k

As if he doesn’t yap enough, Jamie also hosts the “Going Home” on Radio One show with Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton. After Jordan North was pulled off air with immediate effect when he moved to the Capital breakfast show, Jamie apparently started his new role without a contract.

Since then, he’s basically besties with Vick, Katie and the rest of the Radio 1 team including Greg James, who joined Jamie during his ultramarathon challenge and ran alongside him in a wedding dress. He’s also interviewed huge names, including icon Millie Bobby Brown. Jamie’s salary from his radio presenter gig isn’t widely known, but it can be estimated to be over £100k when compared against the income of previous Radio 1 presenters.

Made in Chelsea – £200 per day

Of course, Jamie was cast on the first series of Made in Chelsea in 2011, however he left the show in 2021. Speaking to the Daily Mail he claimed this was partly because he wanted privacy: “I left Made in Chelsea because I didn’t want my relationship with Sophie on camera. There were lots of other reasons but that was the big one.” If they wanted to they would.

His stint on realty TV brought him both cash and recognition, and whilst there’s no public figure on how much he was paid whilst on the show, Louise Thompson revealed that she was capped at £200 a day later in the series, so we can expect it was a lot.

Jamie Laing and his side hustles have proved to be incredibly successful so far and he’s no doubt got something else completely wacky up his sleeve for the near future.
