It’s that time of year when everything feels a little dull – the rain’s non-stop, and you find yourself staring out the window, dreaming of spring. The warmer weather, the longer days, and those dreamy walks with your friends under the blossom trees.

If you’re already plotting where to go for your strolls (trust me, I am too), listen up—because I’ve got the ultimate guide to the best spots for a hot girl walk this spring. Whether you’re going solo or bringing some friends, this one’s for you.

1. The Quayside

A classic, the Quay never disappoints. Rain or shine, the mix of charming shops and cosy cafes always has something to offer. Whether you’re basking in the sun on a spring day or enjoying a sunset stroll, the Quay is the perfect spot for a relaxing walk—or even a picnic with friends. It’ll always have a special place in my heart.

2. Northernhay Gardens

Another one of my favourites, Northernhay Gardens feels like a little escape from the hustle and bustle of the town. It’s so peaceful and the perfect spot for a walk on a beautiful spring day. With plenty of benches and grassy areas, it’s a great place to sit back, read a book, or even get creative with some arts and crafts.

3. Mincinglake Valley Park

I only recently discovered this spot, but I’d definitely recommend it for a long spring walk. With plenty of different routes to explore, it’s perfect for any kind of stroll. The place has a local vibe, surrounded by greenery, trees, and a river running through the woodland area. However, if it’s been raining, make sure to bring wellies—you’ll need them!

4. Cathedral Green

Located in the heart of town, the Cathedral is the perfect spot for a spring day. Whether you want to stroll around and admire the historical views or relax on the wide green, you’ll definitely soak up the sun. Amidst the hustle and bustle of Exeter, this place never gets old—it’s a guaranteed good time.

5. Reed Hall

A hidden gem on campus, Reed Hall is arguably the most beautiful spot here and definitely worth a visit on a spring day. With a picturesque lake and plenty of secret walkways to explore, it’s the perfect place to get lost in nature. Plus, Reed Hall itself is an added bonus.

6. Riverside Valley Park

If you’re looking for a walk a bit further from the city centre, Riverside Valley Park is definitely worth the visit. It’s a peaceful, less touristy spot—perfect if you’re after a more calming atmosphere. It’s also a great place to take your dog for a stroll!
