Trump’s bizarre response to the Washington DC plane crash asks concerning questions
He said it ‘should have been prevented’
A huge rescue mission is currently underway after an American Airlines plane carrying 64 passengers collided with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter.
The devastating crash happened near Reagan National Airport just outside of Washington, DC, over the freezing Potomac River.
18 people have been confirmed as dead and Donald Trump has now shared a really bizarre response on his social media platform Truth Social.
Rather than paying his respects to the people who have died as a president usually would, his first reaction was to question what really happened.

He implied that a few things just aren’t adding up before concluding that the whole thing “should have been prevented”.
“The airplane was on a perfect and routine lineup of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time,” he wrote.
“It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn?” the president then asked.
“Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane? This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented.”
He ended the post by writing in capital letters: “NOT GOOD!!!”

The American Airlines Flight 5342 was en route from Wichita, Kansas to Washington, DC when it crashed and sadly, no survivors have been pulled from the Potomac River yet.
Some of the passengers on board the plane were professional figure skaters, while the helicopter contained three military soldiers.
“American Eagle Flight 5342 en route from Wichita, Kansas (ICT), to Washington, DC (DCA) was involved in an accident at DCA. The flight was operated by PSA Airlines with a CRJ-700,” American Airlines said.
