Toni Kulusich has gone viral after a video of her approaching Peter Pan at Disney World went viral. Her TikToks attracted a huge amount of attention, including some seriously brutal comments from people who apparently had a lot of feelings about a stranger enjoying herself at Disney.
While people have had plenty to say about Toni, her husband is firmly on her side.
Toni graduated from California State University in 2021, and Disney was already a pretty major part of her life. That same year, she got engaged at Disney, before marrying her husband in 2022. The pair then headed back to Disney World for their honeymoon. Four years into their marriage, Toni also has a full-time job managing a retail store.

“It’s not like I’m going to the store or to my job and thinking about Peter Pan,” Toni told Wired. “It’s just that when I’m inside Disney, I’m able to release my inner child and the kid who doesn’t want to grow up. And that’s what [Peter Pan] stands for.”
And apparently, her husband completely gets it.
Kulusich says her husband, who is a marine, is a much more casual Disney fan than she is, but he’s still “really supportive” of her content.
There is, however, one important difference between them: while Toni is clearly Team Peter Pan, her husband would apparently choose Cars’ Lightning McQueen instead.

The backlash got so intense that Toni became nervous about returning to the parks, and for several weeks she avoided both Disney World and making Peter Pan-related content.
Thankfully, she says the people closest to her helped her feel comfortable enough to return. Alongside her husband, her friends within the Disney content creator community “fiercely defended her against online trolls”.
When she finally went back to the park, the experience wasn’t nearly as dramatic as TikTok might have made it seem.
Toni says there were a few people who recognised her as “Peter Pan Girl” and secretly took photos of her, but for the most part, she was able to enjoy Disney without being confronted by strangers.
