Cardiff University Business School receives prestigious accreditation from AMBA

The school is in the top two per cent globally of business schools as a result

Cardiff University’s Business School has received a prestigious accreditation from AMBA.

The Association of MBAs (AMBA) has re-accredited the school due to the excellence shown in its management education.

The association is a leading authority in the world for postgraduate education and this accreditation is the highest standard of achievement in postgrad business study.

Cardiff University reported receiving the re-accreditation has meant all current and recent MBA students of the business school have been invited to become AMBA global members. This makes up over 60,000 students and alumni in 150-plus countries, and they can join for free.

The community is a useful space for students to “share insights and thought leadership, create business networking opportunities and amplify the collective voice of MBAs all around the world”, according to the association.

Dean and Head of Cardiff Business School, Professor Tim Edwards said: “We are thrilled to have received AMBA re-accreditation following a rigorous peer review process.

“This achievement highlights our commitment to delivering world-class MBA programmes that embody our unique value purpose. Thank you to everyone involved in our MBA programmes and the reaccreditation process.”

The AMBA panel recognised the school’s research excellence, which evidently offer breadth and depth to the available education across the business programmes. The university added the panel believed this was an excellent foundation for launching cross-disciplinary initiatives.

The Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA), Andrew Main Wilson said: “I am absolutely delighted that Cardiff Business School has received re-accreditation from AMBA. I would like to personally congratulate everyone who worked so hard towards this reaccreditation.

“The school is of very high quality and is therefore very deserving of its place in the AMBA network. I look forward to working with the school in the future.”
