From food to activities, here’s what P Diddy’s miserable Christmas in prison will be like
P Diddy will not be allowed to return home for Christmas
P Diddy will spend his first Christmas behind bars this year, and it will undoubtedly make for a miserable day. However, it will feature a range of activities and even a festive Christmas dinner. Here’s a rundown of how P Diddy will spend the day in the New York prison.
What will Christmas day look like for P Diddy while in prison?
His time in prison has been dismal so far. According to the Metropolitan Detention Centre he’s being held in, the day will include card games, dominoes, football and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Hmm, maybe it doesn’t sound so bad after all.
For Christmas Day dinner, the inmates can expect baked Cornish hen, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and a “holiday dessert,” whatever that means.
He’s already spent Thanksgiving in prison
This will be his second holiday spent behind bars because he was also in prison for Thanksgiving. The menu was also surprisingly nice as he had a breakfast filled with included fruit, cereal, breakfast pastries and skim milk.
Lunch was the main Thanksgiving meal, and the inmates, including P Diddy, got a turkey roast, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, dinner rolls and margarine. Festive holiday pies were for dessert, and if an inmate needed a meatless option, they could opt for hot and sour tofu. Doesn’t sound half bad!
Dinner was simpler, offering peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, whole wheat bread and fruit.
Diddy also spent his birthday – Nov. 4 – at the Metropolitan Detention Center this year.
For his meals on his big day, breakfast was the same, while lunch had a pasta option and salad, and dinner provided either chicken or tofu fried rice.
The charges against P Diddy

P Diddy has been charged with alleged racketeering and sex trafficking but has denied all charges against him since he was arrested in September this year.
Why was he denied bail?
P Diddy has been denied bail twice by judges on the case, which means he will have to remain detained at the New York Metropolitan prison until his trial.
The first judge, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky, denied his first bail: “I don’t believe that counsel has the ability to control you, given the very significant concerns I have, particularly because of substance abuse and what seem like anger issues,” according to a court transcript reviewed by USA Today. “The danger, I think, is quite serious,” she added, and decided that the bail package would not “assure his return to court or the safety of the community, or a lack of witness tampering.”
Judge Carter upheld Tarnofsky’s first ruling, denying his second bail attempt on the grounds that the rapper was a “flight risk” and “danger to the community.”
The date of his trial has now been announced.
