A round up of new food and drink places which arrived in Bristol this year
2024 has been a good year for resturants (and bad for our pockets)
As the year comes to a close, we thought it was only right to round up new eat and drink places we’ve seen pop up in 2024.
Dongnae
Dongnae is a neighbourhood Korean restaurant on Chandos Road, joining the likes of Snobby’s and Little Hollows. While on the more expensive side, it offers excellent Korean food from the owners of Bokmon in Stokes Croft.
La Tazza
The newest edition on the list is a small establishment at the top of Whiteladies. La Tazza offers coffee by day and wine by night along with Italian treats, meats and cheeses. This family business opened its doors last week in the spot where Tradewind Coffee once was. Come here to enjoy some Italian wine and food as you people watch through the window onto Whiteladies Road.
Tonkotsu
Tonkotsu, located in Bristol’s centre offers freshly made noodles, cooked to perfection (for 32 seconds to be exact).
1B Pitville
If you love Cotham Hill’s 1b coffee then you’ll love their newest edition on Gloucester Road. Stop by for a flat white and some pan con tomate.
Pipp and Co.
Pipp and Co. serves speciality doughnuts, offering doughnutty classics and seasonal variations.
Saints Deli
If after circling the ASS for a seat you are working up an appetite, Saints Deli offers American-style pizza just a 30-second walk away. The colourful deli offers Chicago deep dish to New York thin pizza slices for your library lunch break.
Fire and Flank
Most Read
Fire and Flank was born in Cardiff and has travelled across the Severn to bring Bristol a taste of its steak. You can get your hands on a meat (or 3D-printed veggie!) steak at Kongs on King Street from Wednesday to Sunday each week.
Knoops
Knoops hot chocolate offers a welcome respite from a serious Wills study session. Here you can choose from a range of chocolate types and spices.
If you want a Christmassy vibe add nutmeg and Cinnamon or if you are recovering from Freshers’ Flu and need the sinuses cleared add chilli.
Rosas Thai
Bristol is one of the newest additions to the Rosa’s Thai universe, in the heart of the city between Cabot and harbourside, nestled within walking distance to King Street. You can’t go wrong with a classic Pad Thai dish and veggie spring rolls.
Kokoro
Kokoro is another great pitstop for your wills study session with its new place on Queens Ave.
