Terrible casting and boring weddings: Everything Love Is Blind got wrong in season seven
We need a serious reset after this season
Love Is Blind season seven did it all wrong this time around – argue with the wall. Everything was just so underwhelming and tuning in felt like a chore. None of the couples actually wanted to be there, even the ones that made it to the weddings. Tell me why they dragged out 12 episodes just to get two boring married couples at the end. Yes, there was drama, but it was incredibly toxic and by the end, I was just so sick of watching my favourite cast members get their hearts broken. So, here’s everything Love Is Blind got wrong in season seven. This list could go on forever, but I’ll narrow it down to the most important bits.
The terrible casting
Let’s be real, the casting this year was in a word, DISASTEROUS. Nobody had any chemistry, everyone had their own issues and nobody was ready to get married apart from Taylor and Garrett in my opinion. I know the producers aren’t mind-readers, but some of the red flags were just way too obvious to miss.
Ditching Brittany and Leo
Brittany and Leo were such huge parts of the first five episodes, and it’s a mystery to me why they didn’t get to progress to the next stage of the experiment. I know they ended up breaking up on their trip away, but they still could have made for great television. I bet the producers regret taking Monica and Stephen instead. At least Leo wouldn’t be sending kinky text messages behind Brittany’s back.
The lack of filming during the key moments
Most Read
Seriously, where was the cameraman during the vital moments of the episode? We missed EVERY make or break moment across the entire season, including the main two which were Tim and Alex’s argument on holiday and the moment Monica found Stephen’s texts. Please hire another backup camera crew that can be on call when these wild moments happen!
The boring wedding episode
Yes, the weddings are beautiful, but wasn’t the episode such a snooze-fest? The most exciting thing that happened was Marissa and Ramses breaking up at the beginning of the episode. No doubts, no cold feet, nobody saying “I don’t” made for a very boring watch.
The underwhelming questions at the reunion
I have some serious beef with the Love Is Blind season seven reunion, because just HOW can you have that that much drama in one season and ask the dullest questions known to man? Like come on, we want to know what was in those dirty kink texts, why Tim and Alex fell out on the holiday, inside Marissa’s new relationship and all the juicy juicy deets. No offence, but who cares about happily married Taylor and Garrett? I WANT THE DRAMA!
