Travis Kelce watched his Grotesquerie acting debut and says he ‘could have done better’

Very very ‘arsh!!!

The most notable thing about Ryan Murphy launching his new show Grotesquerie was the news that Travis Kelce would be making his acting debut in a major role for the series. Obviously, Travis is best known as being a Kansas City Chiefs football star and the boyfriend of Taylor Swift – but with this role he’s made a major leap into big time screen roles. Travis Kelce got to play two different kinds of roles as Ed Laclan in Grotesquerie, but since watching the show back he has admitted he “could have done better” with his performance. And honestly, I think he’s actually being really hard on himself.

Speaking on an episode of his New Heights podcast that he hosts with brother Jason, Travis Kelce had his co-star Niecy Nash-Betts on to discuss starring in Grotesquerie together. Travis explained “I was definitely watching myself, but it’s the same thing I do with my view on football or really anything that I do. Even the game show that I did on Amazon, I look at myself and I’m like ‘man, I could have done this better.”

Niecy Nash-Betts was full of praise for Travis Kelce, however – saying he brought his natural charm to the set. She also called him bougie greedy for his food demands, which is kinda hilarious.

Also singing his praises was Lesley Manville, who spoke of her co-star fondly to The Hollywood Reporter when told about Travis Kelce being critical of his own Grotesquerie performance. Manville said “I haven’t seen it, and I didn’t do any scenes with him either so I can’t comment. But good for him for wanting to branch out and do something else and take the very bold step of challenging himself to do something so completely different. That’s a very brave thing to do, to put yourself on the line like that.”

Need to know what he’s going to star in next.
