On Thursday 26th September, fire crews were called to INK on Queen Street due to reports of a blaze. Footage has been shared by multiple people attending the night out across social media, showing people being escorted out of the venue.
In one TikTok video, you can see people being evacuated with one person saying: “There’s no fire man, they’re trolling.”
However, you can hear a fire alarm going off in the background and people can be seen heading towards exits.
The man recording later adds the caption saying: “They were not trolling”, with hoards of people standing on the street outside the club.
In another video on TikTok, captioned: “Nottingham freshers event going down in flames”, revellers can be seen standing outside whilst smoke billows out of the venue’s doors.
