Davina Selling Sunset

Davina claims appearing on Selling Sunset was like being on a ‘suicide mission’

She says she was ‘bullied into submission’ by her co-stars

Davina Potratz left Selling Sunset in 2022 after appearing in five seasons of the Netflix show, but in a recent interview, it sounds like she didn’t have a great time. Davina explained how she felt bullied by her co-stars, and that she actually sold more real estate than everyone else on the show.

But Davina hasn’t completely ruled out going back on the show, saying: “I definitely would go back but getting fair treatment would be nice or at least show a little bit of my real estate career. I’m happy to get involved in drama and confront people and everything, but I do wanna feel like I’m not being bullied.

“I want to feel like I have someone who is a true friend and not be put in situations where it’s 10 to one, it’s tough for anyone who’s in that situation. I’m very close to Christine and Maya, and I have communicated some stuff to Jason, and Nicole is trying to kind of help a little bit.”

Christine also left Selling Sunset when Davina did, following an explosive argument with fellow agent Emma Hermann, who accused Christine of trying to bribe her clients into leaving her.

Defending Christine, Davina continued: “Say what you want about Christine, we’ve had ups and downs and lots of things, but she was a real friend and she actually had my back for a long time and vice versa, and Maya too. They don’t pretend to be one way behind and then on camera act like they don’t know you.

“I know that my two friends are gonna speak up if I’m there and vice versa, but if one of us is there alone, we’re gonna be a little bit weirded out because how are our comments going to be edited or end up? Because if you’re just a lone soldier making these crazy comments, you saw what happened to Nicole!

“Whether or not I agree with Nicole, she was put in really difficult situations and it’s just hard to watch sometimes and some of the stuff is just so cringe. I don’t know if it’s even fun anymore, people are getting nasty.”

Davina spoke about the misconception that she’s never sold any real estate. She said: “I’ve sold more real estate than most of these people, and I’m not hating on anyone, but I’ve never been shown to have a successful transaction. I never have any smiling scenes, god forbid I have like a positive scenario!

“It’s just a little weird and I think it’s a little strange and so I was like, ‘If that’s how I’m going to be treated, then why would I keep like being on a suicide mission?’ That doesn’t make sense.

“But I would certainly go back to the show, I would love to have a little more of my full personality or character shown. The original cast is what got the show to where it is now for new people to even be able to be on there, so you’re welcome!”

Davina also explained how the cast of Selling Sunset can act very differently on camera compared to behind the scenes. She explained: “Behind the scenes, a lot of people are friends who talk and support each other and will pretend to be friends, but then on camera, they act like they don’t know you – that’s happened to me a lot.

“I don’t have time for people like that in my life, so you’re done in my world, you’re out! I don’t need to fake it for the camera, so either have the same personality throughout – on and off camera – or don’t, but I don’t need fake friends. A lot of people are like that on the show.”
