MAFS Australia’s Melinda Willis has exposed which couple started dating for the ‘hype’

Married at First Sight legend Melinda Willis has dropped some piping hot tea and exposed which couple started out for the “hype” and it’s not who you expect.

MAFS Australia is designed to find the perfect partner for its stars and only two of the couples from the most recent series are still together. Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton are still making things work and of course Melinda herself and her husband Layton.

But Melinda’s bestie, Evelyn Ellis and her boyfriend Duncan James were on the show together but coupled with different people. Talking to Heat World, Melinda has claimed Evelyn and Duncan started out for the hype and I’m shaking. Here’s exactly what she said.

Melinda said she didn’t realise Evelyn and Duncan were going be a real couple

Melinda told Heat World: “I feel like in the beginning, you know, maybe they didn’t realise it was going to be like a real relationship. Maybe it was more like a bit of a hype, then it turned into a real relationship. That’s all I’m going to say.”

She also confessed there was a massive thing because Evelyn and Duncan were together during the first couple swap. During an episode of the show the couples were mixed up and had to spend a few days staying with a different bride or groom. Melinda ended up with Harrison, much to her disdain but Evelyn was coupled up with Duncan.

Melinda added: “It’s good regardless. I think they’re going strong.”
