‘She’s perfect’: Here’s what ex-Islanders have said about Maya Jama presenting the show
Loool Ikenna wishes he was on Love Island this year
Maya Jama made her Love Island debut on the first episode of winter Love Island 2023 and everyone has been in a constant state of awe ever since. As well as Love Island viewers being fans of the new presenter, former Islanders have been quick to share their praise for Maya, and rightfully so. Maya has only been in the villa twice and everyone finally understands why Stormzy wrote three songs about her. While you patiently wait for her to enter the villa again, here’s what former Islanders have had to say about Maya Jama:
Finley Tapp
Winter Love Island 2020 winner Finley Tapp said that Maya Jama being the presenter would bring in a new and different audience. Speaking to the Daily Star, Finn said: “I think she’ll be brilliant, I think similar to Laura, everyone thought Laura would be brilliant when she went on to do an amazing job. So I think Maya will be just as good and I do think she will do really well for the show. I think there will be sort of a different audience that might start watching.”
Rachel Finni
Former Islander Rachel Finni was quick to praise Maya Jama before she went in the villa and during. Speaking to The Mirror, Rachel said: “I was the number one advocate for Maya Jama hosting Love Island. You can see this anywhere and everywhere. She has so much personality. She’s young, she’s beautiful and relates to the cast in so many ways. How could she not be perfect?
