Andrew Tate Big Brother

Andrew Tate was on Big Brother UK in 2016 – here’s a recap of everything he did on there

He ended up getting removed from the house

Andrew Tate is all over the TikTok For You Page right now, after some controversial clips from his endless mass of controversial clips went viral. In recent years, Andrew Tate has become notorious for his YouTube vlogs and podcasts where he spouts his *extremely* divisive opinions – you can read a full timeline of his disturbing controversies here.  But what most people have forgotten is that in the UK Andrew Tate first came into the public sphere after a short stint on Big Brother that resulted in him getting ejected from the house.

Andrew was on Big Brother in 2016

In 2016, Andrew Tate entered the Big Brother house for the 17th season of the show. During his season, there was a twist of two houses. The main house, where everyone inside was an official housemate, and then a house for “The Others”. The Others did not have full housemate status and had to compete in tasks to try and get into the main house – where they were often in competition with the main house. Andrew Tate was in The Others house.

On Day 4, Andrew and fellow Others housemate Ryan Ruckledge were voted by the public in to the main house to stir up drama and do a secret task for The Others. When they arrived, Andrew Tate caused an explosive argument by telling the group that eight of them were “snakes” and two-faced – the housemates turned on him and Ryan and main house housemate Sam kicked off royally also.

Andrew Tate was ejected from Big Brother on Day 7

On Day 7, Andrew Tate was removed from the Big Brother house after a video circulated on the outside of him seemingly beating a woman with a belt in a pornographic video. The other housemates were not told the reason why he was removed. Andrew Tate put out a statement that  “The video The Sun will release is me hitting a girl with a belt. They edited out ALL of the laughing and joking and it’s felt! They are pretending I beat her up when we were joking and the belt made noise but didn’t hurt! They cut all laughing.”

Andrew Tate also made a statement on his Facebook that was deleted about why he was removed from Big Brother, claiming that Channel 5 took him out of the show because he’d come up with “a master plan” to disrupt the house that was “too clever and dangerous.”

A spokesperson for Big Brother and Channel 5 then released the following: “Channel 5 and Big Brother have become aware that Andrew Tate has posted a statement on Facebook about the circumstances of his departure from the Big Brother House. What Andrew says in that statement is completely false.

“Andrew was not removed because of his actions inside the house. Nor was he removed for tweets allegedly posted by him prior to his entering the House. Andrew was removed because of information which came to light today.”
