Drag Race: UK Versus The World

Here’s everything we know so far about RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK Versus The World

Daisy May Cooper is a guest judge and I am shaking

RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK Versus The World is quite literally right round the corner. It’s so close that I can almost taste the wigs and the heels, and yesterday BBC Three announced that it will be premiering on February 1st – the day BBC Three returns to being a fully fledged channel on TV again. For those still unsure on what Drag Race: UK Versus The World is, it’s a new spin off in the format of All Stars, but bringing together international queens from across the global franchise. Fans have wanted an international All Stars season for years, and we’re finally being fed! There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding Drag Race: UK Versus The World, but here’s a round up of everything we know so far:

RuPaul will be hosting

Mama Ru will be hosting the show, and will be flanked by the usual Drag Race UK panel including Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton.

The guest judges are INSANE

Via BBC

The official Drag Race UK Twitter has just announced the guest judges for the season, and the lineup is a WOW. The reigning queen of the allies Jade Thirlwall is making her Drag Race UK return, and we thank the gay gods for that. Radio One icon Clara Amfo is along for the ride, along with Sporty Spice Mel C, Corrie icon Michelle Keegan and the funniest woman on earth: DAISY MAY COOPER. Also joining the panel will be Bridgerton hunk Jonathan Bailey. Johannes from Strictly will be popping along to the runway to train the queens with some choreography.

And, in the campest reveal yet, Katie Price will be making Bimini’s Snatch Game impression a reality by showing up as a special guest to play the Snatch Game. The nipples are indeed the eyes of the face.

The show was filmed in Manchester

The show was filmed on a new set in Manchester, the one Drag Race UK started using when filming season three last year. It is believed that Drag Race: UK Versus The World was filmed straight after.

Nine queens will be competing for the crown

Nine queens from across the globe will be competing for the crown, but BBC Three have not yet announced who they will be. Take this all with a pinch of salt, but Nancy Drews of the internet have compiled a list of queens they think are likely to appear. These are the rumoured queens:

• Baga Chipz (Drag Race UK season one)
• Blu Hydrangea (Drag Race UK season one)
• Cheryl Hole (Drag Race UK season one)
• Janey Jacké (Drag Race Holland season one)
• Jimbo (Canada’s Drag Race season one)
• Jujubee (Season two, All Stars 1 and All Stars 5)
• Lemon (Canada’s Drag Race season one)
• Monique Heart (Season 10 and All Stars 4)
• Pangina Heals (Drag Race Thailand host, seasons one and two)

The premiere is part of BBC Three’s big launch night

February 1st 2022 is the day that BBC Three finally returns to screens as a fully fledged channel, after moving online in 2014. The show will air on the channel instead of being uploaded to BBC iPlayer at 7pm like we have had for UK seasons previously. Internationally, Drag Race: UK Versus The World will stream on WOW Presents Plus.

RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK Versus the world will premiere on BBC Three and then BBC iPlayer on February 1st. For all the latest Drag Race memes and Netflix news, drops and memes like The Holy Church of Netflix on Facebook.
