Ariana Madix breaks her silence on Scandoval three years after it aired on Vanderpump Rules
The cheating scandal changed the show forever
Ariana Madix has decided to speak out on the Scandoval saga that totally changed the game for Vanderpump Rules. Three years ago, it all came out that Ariana’s then-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, had been having an affair with her friend, Rachel Leviss, for seven months.
Even Adele was talking about it on-stage, because it was one of the biggest cheating scandals in reality TV history. Ariana has gone on to host Love Island USA and star on Broadway show, Chicago, and people have argued that the affair changed her life for the better.
Ariana doesn’t agree though, after a Pump Rules villa recently wrote, “Tom cheating on her turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to her. All the doors opened.” She replied under the NBC video comment promoting her in a US soap, “No.”

After it came out that Tom had cheated on her, Ariana gained lots of media attention and was soon cast for Dancing With The Stars. And while those opportunities did come after the scandal, she literally went to school to study dance, acting and music years ago!
Back on Vanderpump Rules, Ariana complained that Tom wouldn’t watch Love Island USA with her during their almost ten-year relationship. Fast-forward to now and she’s already hosted several seasons of her favourite reality TV show.

Ariana and Tom officially split in March 2023, with Sandoval apologising for his behaviour. She is now dating NYC-based fitness trainer Daniel Wai, while Tom is with model Victoria Lee Robinson. Ariana and Tom aren’t on speaking terms at all.
