Demi claims Mormon Wives producers set up a meeting for ‘big cliffhangers’ after season one
They apparently told them the show was becoming 'boring'
Those cliffhangers on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? Seems like they’re all planned. Demi Engemann just claimed she and her co-stars are were placed into a meeting to discuss “big cliffhanger ideas” for the show, as the show had become “boring”.
She claimed it’s “awkward that she has to clarify and reveal just how produced this show is” before going on to explain in a TikTok comment on the storyline that she was involved in a staged affair, which she had suggested for the season one finale.
Demi wrote: “Production sat us down after filming season one asking us for ideas for a ‘big cliffhanger’ because the show was ‘boring’. We all threw out a bunch of ideas and one of mine was me saying that Dakota could meet up with me to get advice about him and Taylor.”

“Someone could ‘get footage’ of us talking in the car, making it seem like ‘something might be going on between us’. Then at the top of season 2, it’s cleared up that he was just there to get my advice about Taylor the same way he did with Mayci,” she added.
Demi continued: “It wasn’t that deep or serious. This is a perfect example of the ‘pile on’ tactic these women use when someone is already down in the public eye. They ALL gave ideas for a cliffhanger, but the way they relayed this story was though I wanted to ‘stage an affair’.”
She then added that she would “never stage anything on her own, unlike some”. Lots of the other Mormon Wives stars have spoken out about the produced elements of the series, while Jessi has clarified that “everything that happens is real” to Amazon Live.
